Most of us are concious enough about healthy eating to examine the nutrition label of an item before we buy or eat it, but what do you do if you’re eating out.  Most restaurants don’t offer up the nutritional info of their products for your perusal, so how do you know what you are putting into your system?

The best case scenario would be to avoid fast food chains, but we all know that isn’t going to happen.  As much as we hate to admit it sometimes, even if there are other options available, we’ll cruise through the drive-thru for lunch.  In these cases, your best bet is to go in educated.

Here  is a link to an excellent resource of the absolute worst fast food items that you can put into your body.  It’s a great place to start to find the foods you should avoid at all costs when on your fast food outing.

All your favorite fast food joints have (or should have) all the pertinent nutrition info on their websites, here’s a couple direct links to get you started: McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy’s, Taco Bell,  you can access nutrition info from almost any chain restaurant on the Web.  Go and check out the sites to find out the lesser of a multitude of evils before you start chowing down.

In general when talking about all food stuffs moderation is key, when talking about fast-food stuffs avoidance is generally the key but if you feel that there isn’t any other viable alternative for whatever reason or you’ve just got a craving that won’t quit at least educate yourself before you go in.
