celebrity_fit_club-logo.gifLast night I watched the premiere of the new season of Celebrity Fit Club. I’ll admit, I get a kick out watching the out of shape celebrities get worked over by Harvey. And the nutrition advice given by Dr. Ian Smith is spot on. The show airs on VH1 on Thursdays at 9:00 P.M. ET/PT. Click here for a sneak peak of the first show.

The season kicked of to a great start with four of the eight contestants returning for another round. In the case of Toccara and Dustin Diamond, I’m not sure that they gave enough abuse out the first time. They both claim to have reformed, but Toccara is already throwing her weight around with temper tantrums. We will just have to wait and see how Mr. Diamond behaves this season.

I was interested in the website that they mentioned a few times last night and I went online to see what I could find out for you. Basically, it is an opportunity for you to use the same tools as the celebrities, including forums and using Dr. Ian’s book The Fat Smash Diet. You will also get daily meal plans complete with menus and recipes. The exercise program is personalized to help you meet your fitness goals.

Oh, I know…how much does it cost? Well you get all of the above mentioned items for the low, low price of …well; there are three different plans to choose from:

-Monthly Plan–$19.95 per month + $8.95 sign-up fee

-Three Month Plan–$16.62 per month + $8.95 sign-up fee

(Billed in one installment of $58.80; after initial 3 month period, then subscription changes to monthly plan of $19.95)

-Yearly Plan–$12.45 per month + $8.95 sign-up fee

(Billed in one installment of $158.35; after initial 12 month period, the subscription reverts to the monthly plan of $19.95 per month.)

While it would be fun to play along with the contestants, I feel this is an expensive plan when compared to other plans such as The Biggest Loser Club. I think I’ll just watch the show for now…
